About
Algorithm Trading Tools is written and maintained by one person, not a team, not an editorial board. I spent years around trading desks and automated systems, watching good ideas get ruined by careless process and mediocre ideas survive because someone respected risk. That contrast is what this site is built around.
Most writing about algorithmic trading either sells a platform or sells excitement. This site does neither. It exists to help people evaluate their own automation, their own backtests, and their own habits, with the kind of skepticism a risk desk would apply, before real money and real autonomy get involved.
Expect process over predictions. Expect questions before answers. Expect a bias toward slowing down, checking assumptions, and treating a clean backtest as the beginning of the work rather than the end of it.
Do not expect signals, do not expect broker or platform recommendations, and do not expect promises about what any strategy will do. Nobody can honestly offer those, and a site that does is telling you something about itself, not about your strategy.
